4 Signs That You Are Not Paying Enough Attention to Your Health

Introduction

Even if you know how to make healthy choices, it’s tempting to give into laziness during stressful or busy times.  Unfortunately, when you don't pay enough attention in living a balanced and healthy life, your body has to bear the brunt.

New York City personal trainer James Shapiro says, Our bodies are very sensitive to external and internal stimuli which means that even a small change can begin to affect our mood. Those feelings (that may arise) can be caused due to lack of sleep, poor nutritional choices, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of movement, and poor stress management.

All of these things could affect your organ function, hormone levels and blood sugar levels, blood pressure and much more. Your body will send signs and signals that you aren't paying attention to your overall health.

Here, experts share the warning signs that indicate that your health is lagging.

You Are Stiff To The Point Of Pain

It's normal to feel tired after a really hard workout where you push yourself beyond your comfort zone.

Expert in fitness Sir "Brian Bott" explains that when joints become stiff to the point where you're feeling uncomfortable, it might mean that you're staying sedentary or dehydrated for too long.

It is essential to maintain a consistent motion as it helps to keep the joint surfaces in good condition and lubricated.

The Synovial fluid in and around your joints which helps nourish the joints. It can only work when you are being moved through a given range of movement,” he explains.

Unless you're trying to make an effort to get up and move your body in various ways, your joints aren't getting the care and nutrition that they need.

Your Hair And Skin Appear Dull

Our skin is like a mirror of our health, and it is one of the fastest cycling organs and reliably reflects our overall health or, in this case, lack of health, says cardiovascular surgeon Dr. David Greiner Greiner.

Your hair suffers a same fate. If you observe that your  pores & locks appear drier, he says you might need more omega 3 fatty acids.

The best method to get omega-3s through your diet is to consume nuts, oily fish, and leafy green vegetables.

As Greiner shares, these are rich in protein and fatty acids, and both (of which) are important nutrients needed to help stimulate or trigger the production of healthy skin.

You Are Tired All The Time

If one or two cups of regular coffee are not enough for you (is not cutting it anymore,). You may need to put more emphasis on sleep. Dr. Greiner says that both excessive daytime sleepiness and hypersomnia can be signs of underlying health problems.

So, if you regularly find yourself needing to take a daily power nap or regulary battle the sandam, you might need help to return to a healthy, sleep rhythm. After a physical and in-depth analysis of your medical history, your doctor will order the appropriate tests to make a definitive diagnosis, he says.

You Can’t Touch Your Toes

There is a reason why primary school P.E. class included or covered the sit and reach test. As Bot explains, a 2009 research found a link between the ability to bend over with a lower risk of a heart attack.

Beyond that, Brian Bott  says, using this throwback examination of your flexibility and how your muscles are working. "Being able to touch your toes is also a good indicator of your hips and back mobility," he says. Being able to properly move at the hip can help lessen the chance of many lower back overuse injuries.
